Na overleg met de spelers van onze A-ploeg werd er geopteerd om iemand te zoeken die onze jongens wat les zou geven.
Na een zoektocht doorheen België en Nederland kwamen we op een gegeven ogenblik in contact met de veelvoudige Nederlands kampioen.
Enkele gesprekken verder zagen we zelf kans om niet alleen deze speler te strikken voor oefensessies, maar voelden we dat hij een club aan het zoeken was om competitie te spelen. Dat klonk uiteraard als muziek in onze oren.
Maandag 2 november was het dan zover, de contacten werden verzilverd in contracten. Vanaf heden is STEFAN MAZROCIS lid van ENBILD SNOOKER NEERPELT.
Als prof bracht Mazrocis – toen nog uitkomend voor Engeland - het twee keer tot het WK in The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. In 1995 verloor hij in de eerste ronde met 10-3 van Stephen Hendry, in 1997 klopte hij Peter Ebdon met 10-3 alvorens bij de laatste zestien met 9-13 van Alain Robidoux te verliezen. Vier seizoenen geleden speelde Mazrocis, die al sinds begin jaren negentig in Nederland woont, voor het laatst in het profcircuit.
Op vraag van Stefan zelf, zal hij ook deel uitmaken voor het seizoen 2010-2011 van onze club ENBILD Neerpelt.
Stefan zal 17 wedstrijden dit seizoen voor onze club spelen. Maandag voor de competitie zullen de oefensessies plaats vinden.

After consultation with the players of our A-team was decided to find someone who would give our boys some lessons.
After a search through Belgium and the Netherlands at some point we came into contact with the multiple Dutch Champion.
Some conversations go, we saw opportunity to own not only this player to snare for practice sessions, but we felt that he was looking for a club to league play. That sounded like music to our ears of course.
Monday, November 2 was the big day, the contacts were cashed in contracts. From today, STEFAN MAZROCIS member of ENBILD SNOOKER NEERPELT.
As Pro brought Mazrocis, then standing out for England, two times to the World Cup in The Crucible Theater in Sheffield. In 1995 he lost in the first round with 10-3 of Stephen Hendry, he knocked out Peter Ebdon in 1997 10-3, prior to the last sixteen of Alain Robidoux losing 9-13. Four seasons ago, Mazrocis since early nineties living in the Netherlands, most recently in the professional circuit.
Stefan will play 17 competition games in 2010 for the Club. Monday, the day before, the practice sessions will take place.
